Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) set out the agreement between Website City (“we”, “us”, “our”) and you, the customer (“you”, “your”), in relation to the provision of our services. By using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

Website City provides a range of services including (but not limited to) website development, hosting, maintenance, consultancy, audits, system integrations, and related digital services. The specific services you purchase will be outlined in your proposal, contract, or invoice.

2. Fees & Payment

  • All fees are quoted in GBP (£) and are subject to VAT where applicable.

  • Payment terms will be specified on your invoice. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due in advance of services being delivered.

  • For ongoing services (such as hosting or maintenance), you will be invoiced automatically at renewal.

3. Renewals

  • Hosting, domains, and maintenance contracts renew automatically unless cancelled in writing at least 30 days before renewal.

  • Renewal notices and invoices will be issued in advance of the renewal date.

4. Your Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for providing accurate, complete information necessary for us to deliver services.

  • You must ensure you have the appropriate rights to use any content (text, images, video, data) supplied to us.

5. Our Responsibilities

  • We will provide services with reasonable skill and care, in accordance with the description provided at the time of purchase.

  • We will use our best efforts to ensure hosting and related services are available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

6. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Certain services (e.g. audits, consultancy) are non-refundable once work has begun, as they are tailored to you.

  • For hosting and maintenance, refunds are not normally provided once the service period has commenced.

  • Any exceptions are at our sole discretion.

7. Intellectual Property

  • All intellectual property rights in content you supply remain yours.

  • Websites or systems developed by Website City remain our property until payment has been received in full.

  • Once paid in full, you are granted full rights to the deliverables, excluding third-party software/plugins which are licensed separately.

8. Liability

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (including lost profits, business interruption, or data loss).

  • Our total liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific service in question.

9. Data Protection & Privacy

  • We handle personal data in accordance with our [Privacy Policy].

  • Where we provide hosting or maintenance, we will take reasonable steps to keep your data secure, but ultimate responsibility for backup and data integrity lies with you.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Refund & Returns Policy

Website City provides bespoke digital services including website development, hosting, consultancy, and crowdfunding support. Because our work is tailored to each client and services are delivered in advance or on an ongoing basis, our refund policy is as follows:

Bespoke services (websites, consultancy, audits, integrations)

  • All bespoke services are non-refundable once work has commenced, as they are carried out specifically for your business.

  • Deposits and milestone payments are also non-refundable.

Hosting, domains, and maintenance

  • Hosting, domain registration, and maintenance fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable.

  • If you choose to cancel your service, it will remain active until the end of the paid period, after which it will not renew.

Crowdfunding & donations

  • Contributions made through our crowdfunding platform (e.g. for website or service costs) are non-refundable. These payments are considered final donations toward the agreed goal.

Online purchases (if applicable)

  • For any off-the-shelf digital products or pre-defined services offered online, refunds are only available where required by UK consumer law.

Exceptional circumstances

  • Refunds outside of this policy may be considered only at the discretion of Website City, but no guarantee is made.
